YESSS! I lost 2 of my baby chicks due to overheating/dehydration -
They were in a brooder in my guest bathroom to keep them away from my dogs and I didnt realize how hot it got in there while I was at work (June in Mississippi). I came home and one was horribly ill - I jumped on here and we tried to save her but she died during the night - the next day another one did the same thing but i caught it in time and was nursing her back - she was doing fairly well until the 3rd day - when my evil dog managed to get into where I had her quarantined and killed her!!!
I was told that baby chicks are 70% (or something like that) water and can dehydrate rapidly in heat.
