Is there a way to breed BBW turkey?

I get sick when I hear BBW can't be bred. The only problem is the weight of the tom, so, you only have to control the weight of the tom, by reducing the protein content in the feed, and you are good to go. Am breeding right here in Ghana.

There is more to it than that to successfully breed BBs without AI. Just keeping the tom's weight down is not enough.

Both the hens and the toms lose there suppleness as they age. This is why breeders used only yearling hens and toms before AI. The yearlings are much more capable of successfully breeding than older BBs are.
