Is there a way to get around the by-law?

I just discovered that JUST LAST YEAR my city made backyard chickens illegal.

My family spends $40 a month on eggs, so I was planning on having four laying hens to supply us with eggs....

Is there no hope, or can we SOMEHOW get away with having them?

Like maybe create a chicken run that is made of wood trellis, so that the neighbours might not know? ...

Why would my neighbours rat on us? That would be so cruel =(

I'm with you, it may be lil risky but I would go ahead with my hens also! If you get called in on 99% it's the neighbor, and I'm sure they have something you can return the favor with.
