I mean, is there any way to tell the different varieties apart? I'm guessing the answer is no, but I just wondered.

My current eggs are a mixed bunch from my favorite ebay seller, and I have another 15 days till they hatch. I'm dying to know what they are!

The short answer to this is NO.

However Tibetans and Tuxedos are prone for laying blue tinted eggs, A & Ms are prone for laying chocolate looking eggs (but ANY COLOR CAN). So basically the answer is no.... but I can personally tell what eggs are from my tuxedos just by looking but that's mainly because I know what shapes and colors my birds mainly lay. Every bird lays their own specific egg

I got a white maybe with a blueish tinge egg today from either a golden or a brown. First one, not sure if that hen never laid or the color changed? Is that possible?

I don't think there is a difference between the different types, but there are in different birds. My tuxedos both lay eggs that are very chalky looking, and look very blue because of it. One of my A&M lays a very white egg with spots, but other than that, it is mainly a per-bird thing. Sorry!

Rats! All the eggs are "normal" ones. Some are waxy, but otherwise they're all identical.

The good news is I counted wrong. I only have 13 (almost 12) days till Hatch Day.

yay comon eggies!

As for the one worrying about how eggs changed colors on a hen yep that can happen... if a hen lays an egg before it's fuly painted it will come out pure white to tinged blue to tan

Yelp. I have a bantam chicken that lay eather a green or a blue egg. Today she laid a green egg with a blue ring around it. I have another hen that lays different shades of pink that go to almost white sometimes.
