Is there any hope this Orpington is a hen?

You can see by the pic of this blue Orp boy out of my big male rooster, Suede, that the combs are rarely huge. This chick is 11 weeks in the picture and his comb was still very small.

No, I don't. It would be a disease nightmare, always exposing them to whatever there is at the shows, though I realize many do. I don't breed for show, just for myself. Anyway, when my big old sweet rooster dies, I won't be breeding BBS Orps any longer. My first love is the Plymouth Rock, both barred and the blue/black/splash.

No, I don't like having that feeling that someone could steal my birds or if the birds catch something from the show and give it to the rest of the flock.
Like Speckledhen said, it would be a disease nightmare.

I fell in love with the wyandottes , have 10 Golden Laced , then saw the Blue Laced Red and fell deeper in love only to find out that their eggs aren't large . Had hoped to sell a few eggs to help with the feed bill , like most do I guess . So I am in search of another breed to fall for .
