Is there any hope?

Yay! That is so exciting! Yeah I managed to candle only half my eggs 10 days in that were under a broody hen. After that I only relied on the sniff test. I was just too worried I'd drop one or something silly. It turns out only 2 out of 6 were even fertilized. The others had totally liquidized, but didn't stick at all, inside the shell. I feel like *usually* you've got some wiggle room in pulling the duds, if there are any.

Yeah, I have to candle careful. I’m a klutz... I also have a 3 yr old that like to get her hands in everything I’m doing. I like her involved in things but just not with candling!

So, I lost about 7 Marans (probably all my pullets ) and 1 Ameraucana egg. I’m hoping the rest make it to lockdown! Still an okay hatch...

Well, these have been on lockdown! Hatch day was supposed to start tonight but I’m expecting it a little late.
