I wasn't sure where to put this question. I hope i got it right.

I have recently been told that blue Aracauna eggs are lower in cholesterol ...

and

that Aracauna eggs are the only eggs "cancer patients can eat without side effects."

Is there any credence to these statements?

Can anyone provide any scientific references that agree?

Is this just rumor?

No, don't think so. I read about one study that said they were actually higher in cholesterol. Personally, I think they are the same as any other egg. If there really is any difference in either direction, it would be miniscule.

Thank you Cynthia. That's kind of what i assumed, but thought i'd better make sure.

Free range eggs of any color are lower in cholesterol, as much a 1/3 lower. It's really more what they eat than who lays the egg.
