Hi
My husband Greg and I moved from Southern CA to beautiful Paso Robles. We finally have enough property to have chickens, so we started with 16 hens. We had wanted 12, but everyone said we could lose a few as chicks or a few may be roosters. Well they all made it and they are all hens. The girls are now 7 months old and laying an average of 12 eggs a day! They are so fun to watch and all of them will let us pick them up and give them a few moments of petting. We have a large garden, so the girls get fresh vegatables everyday. Their favorites are tomatoes and the large green worms that go with them, watermelons and pumpkins. We would love to link up with other chicken owners from the area. Please write and share your story.
