We have 2 roosters we keep sepertated because they no longer get along. Yesterday the kids put the hens and 1 Roo in the chicken tractor and left the other Roo in his batchlor pad in the coop He some how managed to escape and the 2 Roos were fighting through the fence of the tractor. Both had bloody waddles and combs I risinsed each bloody area and applied stiptic powder. Rocky had the least damage after his bleeding stopped I applied Neosporin to his waddle and comb. Circus on the other hand not only had bloody waddle, his comb seemed very damaged where it connects to his beak. I cleaned it stiptic it took a while to get the bleeding to stop from his comb and eventually put Neosporin on it to. His beak has small areas where it looks like like a hang nail just around the side on the out side. I didnt do anything with that because i didnt know what to do. What else's do I need to do to help them heal and stay healthy? Is there any thing I should have done differently? (other than having to Roos and trusting kids to make sure cages are secure)

Sounds like you did everything right. They will likely heal up just fine.

Good luck.
