Is there something wrong with my baby chick

shes a cream leghorn and just a few hours ago she starting breathing like this.. shes drinking and she ate out of my hand but is this normal breathing.. looked in her tiny throat the best i can but not sure whats wrong.. she still scratches and will walk around but this breathing has me worried.. heres a video shes center screen

That's pretty weird.. I don't know what it means but sometimes chicks can "gape" when they're too hot but its kind of odd that its doing it continously....
If she's drinking and eating then that's good... is she lethargic at all?

Looks like she has something stuck in her throat. It might have ate some of the bedding and is trying to get it to go down. Maybe a couple of drops of olive oil out of a dropper might help get whatever it is down.

thanks so much i use a dropper with some olive oil it seems to have worked.. she up eating drinking running around with all her friends lol,, i do have pine shavings in there some dirt in containers that they seem to love to roll around in.. is pine shavings ok/

Pine shavings are what mine are on. I've never had a problem with them so doubt I'll change. There are some that don't like them though and have blamed them for causing problems.

Pine shavings are only a issue the first couple days as they will eat them thinking they are food. Just have to cover them with paper towels the first few days. Cedar shavings are the bad ones. Glad the oil worked. I usually lose my chicks if they start doing that. It is a sign of respiratory infection too.
