My rooster started crowing weird today. He has always crowed "normally." I just noticed he sounds funny now. It is really, really quiet and just sounds goofy. Kind of like when they first start crowing. I have never heard him do this before. What could cause this? He seems fine otherwise.

I just noticed him sneezing so I think he may be sick. His crowing is worse now. You can barely hear him. We have had non stop rain for the past 2 days, so I was a little worried. Do I need to do anything?

He may have a cold if it's been raining, watch for bubbles from his nose or eyes. That would be a bad sign. I would get him in a garage or somewhere where he can't be rained on and keep an eye on him.

Well, it finally stopped raining today. Although it is pretty windy. He wont let me get close enough to look at his face. He's pretty standoffish. If he does get the bubbles is there anything I can do?

I noticed my rooster had a bit of a "gurgle" in his chest, suspected the beginnings of a respitory infection. Gave him a shot of Tylan 50 (.5 cc) in the breast meat. Will do it once a day for three days. Usually clears it right up. Good luck
