i bought and raised her parents in the same incubator.

someone please tell me, the parents both have part silkie in them. the mom is part sapphire gem and silkie, idk if anything else.
the dad is the same. part silkie part i have no one else.

first 3 pics are of the new born. born earlier today. happy birthday!

next is mom and our dog. not broody. we gave her eggs to our broody hen but she ditched them 2x.
i tried giving her the newborns, she pecked a bit, pretty interested, but ive seen how cruel adults can be to chicks. even if she is completely alone with the one that was born 2 days ago, i just can’t trust it.

anyways then dad is the brown cockerel and then the mom again. kinda looks like a bump on her head.

i dont honestly know pleaseeeee lmk if you have ANY advice, opinions, facts, etc.
WAS super lethargic after exiting the egg and now she’s more excited and moving around. And doing what normal chicks do when they’re in the incubator, trying to fluff out.

I haven’t put the check. That was Born a 2 days ago in with her and she keeps pecking her.

Looks like it has a vaulted skull. If it's part silkie that's probably why. It should be okay. It's just more vulnerable to brain damage if it ever gets pecked on the head. Otherwise it should be a normal chick.
