I have a buff Orpington rooster who's dominant and an Easter egger rooster who is low on the totem pole. I have an austrolorp that went broody and hatched two chicks out of 12 eggs. I am sure they were not all her eggs. My layers at the time were austrolorp and RIR. One chick looks like it could be an Orpington but the other looks like an EE and I don't think the EE rooster was old enough at the time to breed and my younger chickens still weren't laying. I guess my question is is it wrong to not worry about the different breeds breeding. I have 10 hens that consist of 6 different breeds and my two roosters.

Unless you want pure breeds I wouldn't worry about the different breeds breeding. The offspring are going to be mixed breeds anyway. If you don't want mixed breeds, you're going to have to separate the different breeds from each other and breed a rooster and hens of the same breeds together.

Unless you are breeding to show, or are trying to preserve a breed it doesn't matter if they are mixed or not.
