Hi, I just went through this myself. I bought 4 birds from TS and they said they were a tetra tint. However, my chicks we black with yellow spots on thier head. As they aged only two had dark legs the other two had yellow. I thought they could be barred rocks. Also thought maybe 2 male and 2 female due to different color legs and the pattern. The two I knew were female had the dark legs and darker coat, and the two in question had lighter torso meaning more white pattern but the body was darker like the other two but with yellow legs. I read that a black sexlink will not have barred patterns for females , that gene is only passed to males. With all that said. They all turned out to be female despite all the research that pointed towards male. Then yesterday they started laying skinny green eggs. Therefore I'm assuming Easter egger! TS had no clue what they got or sold lol.
