Is there such a thing as a stealth chicken tractor?

Ohhhhh, a HOOOAAAA. Bummer!

Seriously...would be hard to stealth chickens, they are noisy buggers...the hens can be just as loud as the roosters, just usually not as early in the morning.
It should be an interesting venture if nothing else!! :0)

Guess you gotta weigh the consequences if getting busted against the desire to have chickens...and decide from there.

Oh, the desire is definitely strong enough. My only real concern is that my across the street busy-body neighbor has actually snuck into other people's yards before to ensure they are in compliance with the covenants. She will be very unhappy to the the authorities if she does it to me...

Weeeeeell, years ago when they made the covenants in our neighborhood they added no chickens. However, they were never filed with the county, so essentially they are not valid and legally no one can do anything to force me to get rid of them. The rub comes in to play where most people do not know the covenants are not valid (only a small handful know, as my husband discovered it when he became president of the HOA a couple of years ago). If I raise a stink and make it known there is no legal standing to enforce the covenants they will have no legal action available to enforce the HOA dues payments which go for the upkeep of our roads, etc. So essentially, I need to keep them quiet for the general well being of the neighborhood.

Sooner or later this is bound to get out, every one will stop paying & the neighborhood will suffer. The President needs to rewrite the covenants minus the chicken clause & file it. The neighborhood will be saved & you can get your chickens.

That is a good point. :0)
