Is there such a thing as "too high of a roost"?

as above, thats to high for buffs, all my heavy breeds are about 3 foot high, and my games are 4-7 foot. banties are 6-9, man come to think of it, my chickens get it better than me......

My rir roo has left the hen house and spends the night in a pine tree at about 14' high. Granted, he lands on soft ground when he comes down, but the heighth itself doesn't bother him at all.
