Is there such a thing as Welsh-Harlequin-colored runners? Yellow WH? Can I bill-sex this way?

Argh I wish I could keep them all to see what colors they turn out, but I can only keep 2 (of these 5 runners), and since I'm already keeping a female crested one I don't think I can afford to keep any drake at all. Really hope the crested one isn't my only female. By law of probability I have 20% chance of being disappointed!

How long before you have to decide?

Oh my goodness it’s been a year now since I have had a baby duck in my hand, I totally forgot how fast they grow! My year old ducks are completely grown. However 2 of my ducks eggs are in the incubator, 24 more days to go!

Preferably 1 week, 2 weeks maximum (so they'll be 5-6 weeks old), so I won't be able to see all their real colors, but at least the females should have revealed themselves by then, if there's any more.

Here is my female Welsh Harlequin at 6 weeks. By then you should have no questions about colors, as you are nearly at the point of feathering out. Even at 5 weeks the feathers are well on their way to presenting themselves.

Actually you're right. I just looked up old photos of my pekins. They did change a lot in just 1-2 weeks. Can't wait!
