We have 2 brown Chinese geese and the are super noisy? Is there any other geese out there that are quiet?
I'd post a pic of the but I can't figure out how??

Our Dewlap Toulouse are very quiet, the Americans are quiet. Both of these breeds chatter when talked to, occasionally alert. The sebastopols are chatty and tell you about the day, but otherwise not much out of them either.

Excellent! I ll be looking into dewlap! I really do love our Chinese geese but I would like something a little more quieter :D
Thanks

lol Chinese and Africans are known to be LOUD and sentinels always on the look out and sounds alarms. Will be spring before goslings are available again, best to get on a waiting list now as not many are made available.

My advice would also be the Dewlap Toulouse

From what I have heard, American Buff Geese are overall one of the quietest and most docile breeds.

Hope you can find a good breed of goose which is not so noisy!

I second the Dewlap Toulouse. I have 2 dewlaps, a shetland, and a blue american, and my toulouse are MUCH quieter than the american. (and the shetland)

Heres even another option if you want the quietest . Maybe some Eygptians, barnacles or any of the "wild types" for that matter. Or most Sheldgeese. I have greater magellans (sheldgeese)and I just love them. I couldnt dream of loud geese where I live in the city.Thats why I never had domestics. Even the quietest domestic is louder than these types except maybe the canada's and thats even that's open to debate. Dewlaps are also my pick in the domestic ones.
