Last year, we got our first chicks. Never thought about what kind they are. One rooster, and some hens. So then we incubated the eggs, and as the rooster is one type and the hens, each one different, does that make the eggs that just hatched, mutts?

Mutt chickens are the coolest!!! I love all my mutts!!

I think mutts are better than pure breeds in ways. They all look different and they have their own personalities.

I posted in another thread, about the chicks, but no one really replied, on what they think they are. Here is a couple- any ideas??
This is the rooster- he is gorgeous with a great personality

Here is a mutt question for you.

I have California Whites, which lay white eggs

I have a Buff Orpington Roo. Which the hens lay brown eggs

Say my roo mates with the cali white, and I hatch the egg. Now lets say its a pullet, when it finally lays eggs, what color would the eggs be?

I will get some pics of babys in a hour or so, baby just fell asleep! Here is the other hens-
