i was gonna say that’s an odd looking SS lol but yup that’s a cockerel

I thought so too…kept wondering when the SS “spots” would appear!! I never even considered they gave me the wrong chicken haha!!

So I not only DON’T have a Speckled Sussex, I also DON’T have a hen??

I guess “Henrietta Hen” is going to be “Henry”

I’ve both a SS cockerel about the same age and a Welsummer cockerel (also same age). Here’s pics of them both for comparison:

Awe, they are both so cute . And yup, the bottom pic looks exactly like mine! He is now starting to get some pretty green colors. He’s got a great personality, so I’m glad if I have to end up with a rooster, that it’s him. Hope yours are good boys too
