Is this a black eye

Got home from work and found Reba the New Hampshire Red with this shiner. Is this an injury from a fight or is this some kind of disease?

It could be a respiratory disease because chickens will have swelling about the face and eyes since their sinus cavities are close. They sometimes have bubbles in the eyes, nasal and eye drainage (yours has some dried under the eye,) have cough/sneeze, and perhaps rattles from nose or lungs when breathing. Eyeworm is another thing that causes swelling around the eye. It could be an injury, but I would look for infection. Tylan 50 would be a drug to use for respiratory disease, 1/2 ml. given into the breast muscle as a shot for 3 days, or orally for 5-7 days.
