Hi,
Someone gave me this silkie roo at a swap meet since they had already sold all of their hens. I mainly took him because they were willing to give me a great deal on some pullets if I did. However, I’m a little confused on if he’s a patridge silkie or a buff Silkie with leakage. The person that gave him away said he was likely a patridge but he just seems like a buff Silkie with leakage to me. He’s about a year old and has been breeding to to buff hens. Their offspring had been about 50/50 nicely colored buff and buff with grayish/blue tail feathers.

I agree with you!

He does look to be a handsome buff with some leakage! I have one just like him!

Thank you! That makes me feel a ton better as I have some buff pullets. He’s such a friendly bird that I didn’t want to rehome him just because I don’t have patridge hens.

Thank you, everyone! He’s certainly a personality now that we’ve gotten to know him!
