Is this a chicken?

My friend found this little guy in a ditch this morning and wanted to know if it's a chicken. It looks like a chicken to me but I'm no expert. Any ideas? If it is a chicken, does anyone know what breed? (sorry not the greatest pics)

I don't know anything about pheasants. I do have some chickens though, could it be raised with them?

I would not raise it with your chickens at this age but you could probably feed it the same thing.
