Is this a Chihuahua or a Chiweenie?

She's about 17 weeks old. Was sold to us as a pure Chihuahua, but i've been told she looks to be a chiweenie. She's a cutie regardless, and I love the little feller.

It's cute, Chihuahua are so diverse as far as how they look due to all kinds of breeding. You could line up 100 Chihuahuas and none would look the same. I would wait to see as it matures whether it has stubby legs.

Thanks! It is really , erhm "barky", and "yappy", so right now i'm leaning towards chihuahua as far as mannerisms. Oh, and she's very protective of the 4 members of her family and acts tough to anybody else.

They are a bossy breed and need to learn manners too. Mine is half Chihuahua, they do like playing and barking. Yours is a pretty color.

chiweenie isn't a breed. if you don't trust the person you got her from (or think that they purchased from a less than honest person) then you will never know for sure.

Yep, but it's not an actual breed recognized by any registry, same as cockapoo, and labradoodle.
