What is meal maker?

A free chick from the hatchery. I ordered all egg layers. I was suppose to receive an egg layer, that way I can donate the eggs. Depending on the orders. If it had been meat birds, I’d likely receive a meat bird or cockerel in that case.

but the olive egger was to good to be true! I was so excited for my free meal maker to be an olive egger. We will try to keep him. I have one rooster already.

He is most definitely a boy. Just wanted to add updated photos at 10 weeks in case someone else comes across the post wondering about theirs. His tail is really coming in and he has fluorescent leakage of green on his wings (can’t see unless the proper light) and tail. No wattles, but the tail and comb are beautiful indicators here. Also suddenly a bit confident ! That part , I’m hesitant on. If he’s kind I might keep him as the red tail hawk has been sitting on their outdoor run Definitely want those peepers!
