Not easy to tell from photo. I'm very far from expert but I think you need to give some context - age, breed etc
And maybe some more pix, it looks a bit downtrodden there and am not sure that is its usual tail carriage

Unfortunately I'm not to sure of the age, or breed as this hen was given to me today from a rescue center along with another few hens,
I just can't be sure if she's a hen or rooster

From what I can tell in the one photo appears to be female but we really need some better photos. Can you post a good clear close-up of the comb and face?
