We are new to chickens, not sure if this one is an Americana. I ordered all females from hatchery and this one is almost 4 weeks. Any input appreciated!!! Sometimes it looks red/sometimes orange

Safe way? As in you dont want him to become someone's dinner?its possible but can make it harder to find him a home. Just list him and go with your gut when you talk to the interested person. If they talk about how they have a bunch of hens for him then obviously hes not for dinner. If they talk about getting the smoker ready then, yeah, you know.
