Still need a close up of the legs but its face seems to be reddening.
I integrated it in our new coop with the younger pullets so worst case, hopefully it gets its own small flock.

That is one really pretty cockerel, please keep us updated with pictures. I would love to see how it feathers out when he's grown.

Too early to tell. I don't see much red in the comb, and roos won't get their signature tail feathers until 12-16 weeks (I think... someone correct me if I'm wrong). Really cute and unique looking chick!

I've got a chick that's early to mature, crowing already, started getting in Saddles at around 4½ - 5 Weeks of age, it's now 8 weeks, & has Saddles, & sickles starting in the tail.

The wait until 12-16 week range isn't 100% as there's so much variance in how quickly a chicken matures.

Woo! I didn't know that and that is a big 8 week old cockerel. Thanks for the information. I can see the Saddle feathers.

He sure does have interesting colors and that pouf on his head is so cute!
