Is this a common condition?

So my daughter works for TSC. She found this baby chick in a shipment. She has searched for any signs she has eyes and can't find any. Is this a common condition for chicks to be born with no eyes and what's her chance at a life with a flock?

Ok. She is over run with chickens, juveniles, babies I told her to give her to me. I will raise her in the house. If she makes it through the night I have to get her tomorrow.

Oh she also has that beak deformation.

Reminds me of new born kittens who often start out life with conjuctivitis. Have you tried to wet a finger and gently soften up the eye area? Perhaps she just has difficulty opening her eyes.

I will ask my daughter but she said they eye lids are like feathered over. I will text her now she is still at work with it. It also has the beak defect.

Absolutely no eyes, just fluff. No crust or goop.
