Is this a coon track in the snow?

I saw a possum a few years ago heading from neighbors shed to woods.I saw the tracks went from the woods along my fence/gate,around my front yard and back along the other side of the property.

I will look into what I need to do to catch them. I once caught a possum when I was trying to get a cat,so it shouldn't be too hard. Looking forward to getting them!

You're looking at the left front and left rear tracks of an Opossum. You can see the "oposable" thumb of the opossum is separated out to the side, whereas on a raccoon, the fingers are equally spaced.

I had an opossum that kept coming back - ate two of my silkies - finally had to have my hunter friend come down the road to convince it permanently to not come back ever again. I gave it a few chances - chased it out of the run and coop a few times but it wouldn't take the hint. Persistent little bugger.
I have bad luck though - and my payback for dispatching him was a visit by a bear. If it's not one thing its definitely another ! I think I preferred the opossum though - at least that little guy didn't wreck my coop.
Be very cautious with it hanging around - it'll eat the eggs and your hens if it catches them at dusk like mine were. It sat in wait by the coop door inside the run - and as they came in for the night - it grabbed the slowest of the group - my silkies. That darn bear ate my last silkie
