Is this a cream legbar?

I think more than likely one got confused somehow. Not sure the exact logistics behind how that would happen however. It would be an exceptionally poor-quality Legbar though. Wait a few months for when body type develops and of course egg color. Anything now is just speculation! :)
Very true! She is a very sweet baby, like the legbars.

Update at 6 weeks! She looks very different from the legbars. Still no crest and she's clean faced. But I noticed the legbars have the same line in the feathers as she does. The last one is one of the legbars for comparison.

I'll weigh in with a different opinion: she's a Legbar. Not every chick gets the crested gene, and there's actually plenty of color range in Legbars.

To my chagrin, 2 of our 3 Cream Legbars are crestless. Our breeder didn't mention that she was working on stronger combs, so our babies came from a newer cockerel with a very straight comb but who she later realized had a single crested gene copy (or something like that). Anyway, they're smooth headed, sigh. Eggs are nice and blue, though, and their personalities are dynamite.

I'd be happy with that! My cream legbar is a great layer, although she's not as friendly as these ones.
