or was the girl at TSC a little clueless today?
I talked them into selling me ONE chick to keep my little Pixie company. Pixie is a 4 week old California White that never grew. Her wings, legs and beak grew. But her body didn't. How she's still alive I have no idea. I've wanted to get a Maran, but didn't know what the baby chicks were suppose to look like. When I got home and started googling photos of cuckoo maran chicks I started having doubts. lol I don't recall what else was in that bin... there were some black ones that look like the other maran photos I'm seeing... I think there were also "Americanas" in there... or however they spell Easter Egger The more I look at this chick the more I think she gave us an Easter Egger (I have 4 grown EEs)

Definitely not a Cuckoo Marans. They are black and yellowish white. They will have a spot on the top of their head as well.

With those puffy cheeks I’m guessing an EE.

Pretty little Easter Egger. Cuckoo Marans resemble Barred Rock chicks, with the only differences being found in leg color and leg feathering or lack thereof.
