Is this a Cuckoo Maran cockerel & are they both the same breed? Thank you.

I've been told they're plymouth rock and I've also been told they're cuckoo maran. The cockerel has almost a golden splash on his back (a nicotine like colour) . I'm pretty sure he's LF but hasn't been fed properly and so hasn't grown on to full size. Any help would be appreciated as we'd like to hatch from them in the new year in our new brinsea. Thank you. (note - my little brother rehomed them from a friend and so this is why we have so little info. Thanks again, happy new year!

It’s hard to see in your pic. It barred rocks have yellow legs, marans have pink/white legs.

Legs look yellow and feathers look barred.

Could you get some better pictures of their legs. In one picture they look yellow and in another they look pink.
