congrats! my delaware girls are my absolute favorite breed. they constantly lay large brown eggs, have the most personable (some almost devious) behaviors and are all around a great chickens.

My delaware chicks look kinda like that but no dark down on the top of there head , might just be the picture . But the wings look right Sandy

She does have a black spot on her head and a bit of a black stripe on her back.

Two of my delawares have a little bit of black on their heads, but none around their eyes.

A Delaware will occasionally have a small black dot on the head, but not usually anything around the eyes.

here is a pic of my delaware hampshire crosses they are about 6 or 7 days old now. Some have the speck of black behind the eye and some dont.
