is this a duck egg?

my son got this from my dog yesterday. our pekins are finally to the age where they should begin laying i think, so is this theirs? i sure hope so cause it's our first egg from our origional flock of birds. my son was adament that i put it on the "chicken thing" to find out for sure. the ducks are his so he's been waiting for this day forever it seems.

wow if that's not a duck egg I'd go find the chicken that layed that and make sure its ok

hahahaha that's funny. woohoo duck egg!! ya know in my defense of not knowing i've got some cochin eggs in my bator that are about that size, just shaped different and brown.
