Yeah. It’s been plugged in since last night. Its own thermometer is off and it thinks it’s 100 degrees when in fact it’s 95, so I have a heating pad under it to help. Not perfect, but the heating element is definitely working, the display light is on, etc.You have everything plugged in properly?
Oh that’s a great idea! Is it one of those little handheld fans?View attachment 2062149

Yes it is, I had to duct tape it to a board to keep it from falling over and to keep it fanning the heating element.Oh that’s a great idea! Is it one of those little handheld fans?
I would invest in a better incubator. Your not going to get a very good hatch if it's actually screwed up?Yeah. It’s been plugged in since last night. That's because there is *not* a fan. See how there are just two wires coming from it? The black and white wires are are the high voltage AC wires that power the heating element. If it had a fan there would be two more low votlage DC wires. This is your picture. That's the thing... it doesn't sound like anything![]()
NoSo my question is... Is this thing in the LG a fan,
Noand can I therefore count it as a forced air incubator?
YesOr is it a fan missing the propeller, and therefore not a fan anymore, rendering the LG a still-air incubator?
I think the suggested temp for a still air is 101.5 at the top of the eggs.and I end up using the LG, I want to know what temperature to aim for.
