Really, Tuff is right. The only way to know for sure is to incubate to four or five days at least then crack it open and look for veins, or continue incubation and candle. I have one hen whose eggs are fertilized, but never develop into chicks. She has a very pronounced bullseye on every egg, but must have something genetically wrong with her.
