Is this a fox or coyote?

Coydogs are not a mix of coyote and domestic dog . Partial truth but not a long lineage for them... long story.
If you think it is a "coydog" then that is what people in the Northeast call the Eastern Coyote.
"Depending on where you sample in the Northeast, it's somewhere around 60 to 80 percent of their gene pool is made up of coyote genes, somewhere around 10 to 25 percent is wolf genes and something less than 10 percent ends up being domestic dog genes. So we're talking about an animal that is mostly coyote, a bit wolf and a tiny bit domestic dog."

Hard to say fully with out the face pic, but I say Coyote

Caught this suspicious character on the trail cam. I can't really tell if it is a coyote or a red fox. Never seen that much red on a coyote, yet its built more like one than a fox... and not a very bushy tail. Sorry for the blurriness of the pics but it was on the move, and I tried to enlarge the pics which made it even grainier.

Coyote. Foxes are almost cat like in build as well as movements.
