Uggg. Just when I think I’m understanding this. I’m trying to find the site - but I thought that I read that there is some gene mutation that hides the frizzle so that in rare cases (and the site said there were different opinions on how rare it actually is) a smooth bird has a mutation that hides the frizzle. But when bred they would behave as if they were.
But of course I could be way off base here. I will keep looking to see if I can find this again. It was a late night read after I discovered the frizzling on my chicks.
