I have BO's and would love to have some lavender ones----as they are hard to find the pullets I have looked and found eggs that can be hatched. I can get this BRAND NEW HOVA-BATOR INCUBATOR 1602N & 1611 EGG TURNER---- the incubator and turner for 69.95. I know it is a good deal but after reading several posts about this particular incubator I wonder if it is really a good one. I have read the 1588 is better--because of the fan maybe????? I don't want to spend a lot of money on one and maybe that is what you have to do. Any comments would be appreciated..

Incubators will cost you a pretty penny. IF you can spend the extra $30 or so, I would definitely go for the 1588 model. That's the one I'm buying for sure!

The 1588 is by far the better incubator, it is preset & has the fan already instaled, all you have to do is add water, but as with all incubators they need to be in a stable temp. room, I have a 1602 & it does good as long as the room its in has a stable temp. but you can build one alot cheaper & do just as good, my homemade bator is the one I use & trust, the trick is to use it learn it, know what it can & cant do, none of them are perfect, you got to stay ahead of the game, but main thing is a stable room temp.
