Is this a hen or a roo?

    This is Christineth leghorn mix ? we got her with 9 other pullets a month ago... but she is demonstrating some roo-ish behaviors. She is jumping on the back of my 4 girls that are laying everyday, and my son said early one morning when he was leaving for work he heard her crowing , and some of her tail feathers look like they are starting to curl... so is she roo or a hen?

    not the answer I was hoping for but thank you for the quick response and the welcome! looks like christopher will be getting a new home :(

    You can check to see if any of the eggs you are getting are fertile.....that would be a sure sign

    the ones we ate didnt appear fertile will have to check the other dozen and a half

    Just check the yolk for a white "bull's-eye" looking mark
