Is this a hen or roo?

When I got this patch of chicks at 1 week old they all looked the same and then in the next week I had this one that doubled in size and had a lot of white on it. They are a barred rock but I can’t have a rooster and I want to make sure it is a roo and not a hen before I end up giving him up.

Can't really tell since it's so young and just from pictures.

Some of the things that I look for when trying to determine if it's a hen or a roo is the size of feet, are its feet bigger than the other chicks? is the middle toe longer, I find this is usually a good give away for mysel. Sometimes if one chick is a lot bigger then the others already it could be a roo...or just a really big hen...

Thanks! Just makes me wonder because all of the others are a lot darker and it’s feet is lighter then the rest.

It looks a little bigger then the others in that one pic, is it the same breed as the others? it looks pretty different in colouring.

They looked all the same when I got them and they were all from the same patch so that’s why I thought it was a Roo. They told me they were all egg layers but think they made a mistake. That picture is when I first brought them home. Then I went a picked one more up cause I wanted 4 hens and there wasn’t any other one thing that looked like that one that’s bigger.
