Is this a hen?

Do hens mount each other ? We have a( hen???) that has started to mount the other 5 chickens, when I see it I get after her then she starts crowing... is this really a rooster ? And now he is mature and starting to do what all roosters do.

See how different the feathers on his neck (hackle feathers) and back near the tail (saddle feathers) look compared to the hens in your flock? Those are distinctly male characteristics

You see these circled feathers? No hen ever has pointy saddle feathers like that. It's a male trait, always.
