I meant that there are "production" strains of birds they call production vs what they were. Sometimes you find RIR's at feed stores and sometimes you find Production Reds being sold as RIR's. Just that it was under my impression that many commercial RIR's bred by hatcheries for mass production brown egg laying had some leghorn in their past.
