Is this a nigerian dwarf

But I have never seen a doe that measures 21 at the wither , I have always see does around the 17-19 size range .

Maybe she is a purebred , Or nigerian/pygmy cross .
She doesn't look purebred to me and if she was a ND/Pygmy cross, I would expect her to be shorter if anything. Pygmies are short and stocky.

She may just be 3/4 ND or something.

Yea she could be 3/4 , what do u think she could be crossed between .

A few others suggested Saanen or Alpine breeds, but it's hard to say since there isn't enough in there to discern specific characteristics.

Well her ears look a little longer than a nigerian dwarf and her chest looks thicker . What characteristics would like me to look at or maybe I can get some more pics for u

I'm still sticking with my original guess of Saanen. With her height, I would say it would be closer to that 3/4 cross than a 50/50. She does seem large compared to your Nigie who is on the small end of the spectrum, but technically she still conforms to the ADGA breed standard, so.. who knows. If I were to make a wager on this, I'd say she is a high percentage Nigie cross, crossed with Saanen.

@H Diamond I will go with u and say it's high percentage nigi and saanen cross , now if I were to breed her to a purebred nigi would the kids be considered purebreds bc of her percentage being high

By definition, you will never have a purebred Nigerian if your doe is crossed with something else. If we were talking registered goats, other breeds have what are called Americans and Purebreds. Purebreds are just that pure.. only that breeds genetics present. With Americans, you can start with a cross, keep breeding her and her kids to a "full" bred buck of that breed and in I think 3 generation you get an American. It is considered a "full" bred, but not pure.
So, the short answer to your question, I would not sell her kids and full Nigerian until about 3 generations out. Even then it's kinda sketchy considering you really have no idea what if anything she is crossed with. What I would do (if you want Nigerians) is yes breed to to a full Nigerian buck, and when you sell her kids you can sell/advertise them as mostly Nigerian. Also, if you breed to a full Nigerian, you're kids won't (or shouldn't be unless some random recessive gene pops up) be taller than the doe and should be shorter.

Thank you so much for your info , im gonna breed her to a nigerian buck this will be her third breeding and she has had twins the last two kidding sage has had .
