Is this a paint or splash silkie? Why does my white silkie have yellow orange tint.

We bought 2 silkies at an auction yesterday in hopes of showing them in ffa, I'm not sure if the rooster is a splash or a paint, and also wondering why both have some yellow tint to some feathers

Paint, and yellow is probably something she got on her feathers.
I read that paints aren't accepted yet by the APA but are by the ABA, is there a chance that any shows here in OK will qualify him, or likely not? Do you know of any shows using both standards?

No sorry, I'm just your average Joe in chicken keeping.

Haha, ok thank you anyway, I gave them a bath and blow dry I think that they are just getting a tint kinda like people with dyed hair. Just gonna have to buy some chicken shampoo I guess.

The roo is paint. I think the yellow might be the actual color of their feathers. I'm not 100% sure tho. Did it wash off? My black silkies also have sort of brown undertones in their feathers. I'm wondering if the brown-ish color in my black silkies means anything or not.
