Is this a Production Red?Pics included

Its like close to white but VER VERY LIGHT BROWN with a pink sorta light light pink tent to it its not alot though.

What Fred is trying to tell you is that she is not really an RIR. She is a hatchery cross called RIRs by the hatcheries. This hen most likely has brown leghorn mixed in so the body is shaped wrong along with the colors.

She will lay a lot of eggs, almost as much as a Red Sexlink

OMG THX! SHES A BROWN LEGHORN DUH!CUZ AT THE STORE IT WAS PRODUCTION REDS AND LEGHORNS!She does lay alot off eggs!

Yeah that chicken is definitely not a brown leghorn..Google them. I have 5...

Also saying they lay as good as red sex links might be misleading since there are numerous varieties of red sex links...
I created some here at my place. A buff orpington rooster over salmon faverolle hens makes red sex links... but that doesn't mean they will lay well. I mean they probably will, but just because my Salmons are little egg machines, but they aren't supposed to be.

What you have there is a red chicken. If you got it from the red pullet bin at a farm store then most likely it is some sort of sex link, or a production red..al of which are mixes...
So it is a little red hen. No need to worry about it. Does it really matter anyway.
It isn't anything but a red chicken either way you look at it. All it could be is a mix. And different hatcheries use different birds to make their Sex links. My red sex links are great because they are very heavy bodied. Meaning my boys are delicious, and heavy chickens don't go missing as often here. Not sure I will end up with any to keep for myself because I hatch to sell, but whatever is left becomes next year's flock. I keep whoever doesn't sell, minus a couple I just won't sell. Lol
But yeah, it is a red hen and that is it. I only know what mixes my mixes are because I hatched them from my chickens...but I doubt anyone could look at my birds and guess orpington faverolle cross... I'd say they would be mighty confusing. Faverolles aren't a common breed...so you're trying to figure out which chickens could make an orange feather footed bearded chicken.

Well true but stil if it was a rir i was worried their mean.

Well either way you don't get a true Rhode Island red from a feed store so no worries there. And I've noticed that barred rocks seem to perpetrate more chicken in chicken crime. A lot of time when people complain of their chickens pecking each other there is a barred rock in there somewhere. Haven't had any barred rocks myself. Have had pullers from the red puller bin. Last year I ended up getting red stars (a variety of red sex links) this year it seems to be hatchery rir. They are totally red with a black tail. So I'm guessing it is the hatchery version of rir. And like I said I can now hatch my own red sex links that the boys are white and are feathered bearded, while the girls are orange with feathered feet and beards. I don't yet know how the girls lay, but the boys look delicious.
