Hey, trying to find some "purebred" birds that I want to get into, and ran across this ad. Do these look like "real" ameracaunas? I am trying to start locally with a purebred chicken, so spending $50 including shipping is just too much for me.

What do you all think?

I agree, the seller doesn't understand the breed and is mislabeling them. If you are trying to establish a purebred flock, it is very much worth your time to save for a couple of months to start from quality stock. Is it fun to do that? no. Is it MUCH less aggravating, and you spend MUCH less time correcting bad genes? Oooo yeah.
