its a little to early to tell but i'm gonna guess pullet...leg size has nothing to do with sexing a chick! try posting some more pics in 2 weeks when s/he is 6 weeks old then

roo, sorry. Does it have mites? It has a bare spot on its neck.

wait untill (s)he is 3-4 months old then repost this question. It is easier to tell then. Watch for pointed long hackle feathers, and saddle feathers. Other than that the surest way to tell is wait untill (s)he lays an egg or crows. Good luck!

Thanks again everyone for your help. And Ericnash, that was just the wind, (very strong wind that day) and it made it look like the feathers were missing. he/she is very healthy, a little skittish but once caught and held, loves to curl up under my hair
