This may sound weird but for some reason I'm inclined to say pullet

It's either not 18 weeks, or it's a pullet? Can you ask for pictures with better lighting? The comb is larger which is normal for an Australorp, but it's not bright red.

It’s either a pullet close to lay,or a late blooming male.Are you sure of age?
